The Inspiration Behind Golf Avenue's New Look

Along with our revamped look, we also opted to redesign our logo of the past decade. This new look allowed us to draw inspiration from our commitments, as well as our favorite sport, to create a sleek yet simple new logo to help golfers recognize us everywhere.
To help you get a better understanding of how we came up with this new logo we decided to break it down for you into three different sections:
- Why the new logo?
- What inspired the new design?
- How we’ll be including it in the future?
Why the new logo?
This is a good question as we understand why some people would wonder why we want to let go of a logo they’ve known for over a decade already. The simple answer is that we felt that it was the right time to make a change as we’re also revamping the website at the moment.
Additionally, we believe that this new simplified logo will be easier to identify for golfers everywhere.
Make no mistake, however, as this renewed design is the product of meticulous background research in an attempt to come up with our new logo, as well as the colors, and the design we’ve opted to use for the future. Let’s take a look at how this new logo came to be.
What inspired the new design?
Inspiration from the name
We began our journey by looking back at our previous logo and we could improve upon it. Our focus was first drawn to the initials of our company’s name: G & A. By overlapping the letters, we were able to notice how the lower-case A could be integrated with the lower-case G.
Inspiration from the course
We then looked to the course for ideas. One of our earliest observations was the close resemblance between the shape of a golf ball falling in the hole and the combined letters we already created in the previous step.
A new logo
Combining the G & A and the shape of the ball falling into the hole we were able to slightly tweak the result to create a simplistic, yet recognizable logo. Simply put, the logo represents the combination of both our initials, as well as reminding golfers of the ultimate goal on the course, putting the ball in the hole.
Inspiration from Circular Economy
If you’re unfamiliar with this concept, the circular economy refers to the concept of maximizing the lifecycle of products by recycling them instead of disregarding them once you have no use for said products. The circular economy is at the basis of who we are and we felt that a small nod to the concept was essential.
The finished product
When we bring all of these elements together, you’re able to observe all the inspiration that led us to the creation of this redesigned logo. We simply adjust the color to match our color pallet and voilà! There you have it. A brand-new logo, for the brand that’s all about recycling.
This new simplistic logo, combined with an expanded color pallet allows us for more diversity when it comes to creating designs. Let’s take a look at what you can expect from us, visually, in the future.
How we’ll be including it in the future?
We’re thrilled about what’s to come and the various ways we’ll be bringing you all the golf content you could ever need. While our content will remain just as relevant and useful, it will also benefit from a revamped look, thanks to our new logo and color pallet.
First, let’s take a look at our color pallet and how we’ll be using these different colors to bring more life to the content. The colors we decided to use for the future were inspired by the colors that golfers come across when they’re out on the golf course.
Beyond the colors, we also wanted to give you a peek at what you can expect when it comes to ads and social media content so that you can easily identify Golf Avenue content wherever you might see it.
We hope you’re as excited as we are for the future and that this article helped to introduce you to who we are as well as how our new look came to be. We’re ecstatic to bring you even more quality golf content in the future, outfitted with our remodeled appearance.
